[#1] Chronicles Of Elyria

Chronicles Of Elyria

Chronicles Of Elyria

Chronicles of Elyria wins the most anticipated game of 2016. Why? Because of it's one of a kind hardcore open sandbox system. In Elyria you live, grow old and die. How cool is that? But death is only the beginning because when you die you can come back with the same spirit or a different one. All skills that you had worked up in a previous life now can be worked up much faster causing you to become more powerful.

Game features include:

Pros:

Spark of Life: You can come back to life as the same spirit.

Destructible World: Everything can be destroyed.

Building: Houses, Dungeons, Castles, Tunnels

Crime System: Jail time and perhaps death penalty for really evil players.

Skill Based System: Combine any number of skills together.

Kingdoms: Player Ran Kingdoms, Become a King

Survival: Risk vs Reward

Cons:

Care bears will NOT like this game.

Perma Death: Athough most of the time when you are attacked you don't perma die. Check their journals on their web site for more on this.

On top of all this, there is a rare chance you will be born with a talent. A talent is like a supernatural ability (like magic for instance) that give you an unfair advantage if you are lucky enough to be born with it. Also the resources are finite, this means that when you chop down a tree it does not replace it's self. Every action you make will impact the world you live in. This is the same with animals, ore and gold.

Life is hard in Elyria. Perhaps you will be a tax collector or an innkeeper or something more sinister. To learn more about Chronicles of Elyria, either click on the image above or check out DM21's Q and A with the CEO on you tube to the right.
#2 Albion Online

Albion Online

Albion Online

If you have ever played Ultima Online or Runescape you are going to love Albion Online. Albion Online is a hardcore full loot pvp game with many sandbox elements. The equipment you wear play a major role in your success. Albion is a bit grind heavy but if you like crafting or pvp you will enjoy the game. The CEO of Albion recently announced that the game will no longer be free to play.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

Massive Guild Fights

Full loot pvp

Crafting (best items in the game are crafted)

Spells and Abilities are based on the armor and weapon you use.

Auction House and Banks are NOT global

Territory fights over lands.

Cons:

Safe Zones (but not many)

Developers change direction more than most would like.

When you die you are naked and have no spells/Abilities.

Walk everywhere (it gets tedious)

No game is perfect but I have a good time playing Albion Online. Overall the game is good and that's why it gets the #2 spot.
#3 Blade and Soul

Blade and Soul

Blade and Soul

Blade and soul is a anime like martial art MMO devloped by NCsoft. The game promises to capture real time action combat. Blade and Soul makes the #3 spot based on hype alone. It is hard to ignore its many hardcore supporters.

With four races to choose from and eight classes there should be a little something for everyone. Blade and Soul plays very much like a fighting game with some platform elements.

Pros:

Many different styles of martial arts.

Detailed and unique character building options.

Fighter style combat.

Free to play.

Open world faction pvp.

Cons:

Fighter style combat.

Costumes separate you look from what you wear.

Cosmetic outfits change your faction.

The Game over all looks like it will be fun, specifically the pvp. It also appears it has a smarter camera AI making it less likely to get turned around in combat. Be sure to click on the picture above to get more information.
